Move!..please

One thing I have noticed not only this week, but how every day, people crowd around in the hallways to talk to one another. I do not think the people doing this realize how annoying it actually is.
It is the same people every day and I don’t see the problem in just moving over to the side, or even better, just going to class!

However, it is much worse at lunch. Are you not able to sit down somewhere and eat, or do you have to stand up and eat in the middle of the halls too?

That is all I wanted to say about it, but I just thought I would bring that "issue" up.

The Hunger Games

Books are always there when you are bored and have nothing to do, or you're just in the mood to read one. There are millions and millions of them out there, but I know it is impossible to read them all, so here is one I guarantee that you won't put down.
Many of you have heard of The Hunger Games and I am sure there are millions of book reviews on it, but I would like to share my own opinion on the exceptionally good book.
The Hunger Games was probably the most riveting book I have ever read. It was captivating and the images that came to my head were sometimes horrific.
I loved the way the author; Suzanne Collins made you feel like you were actually there. You felt like you were in the woods running from the other tributes, fighting for death and experiencing the pain each character went through.
Just to give you a brief of The Hunger Games, it is a story about a girl Katniss who steps up in her sister's place to be a tribute in the Hunger Games that is held at the Capitol. Katniss and Peeta are the two tributes for District 12 and there are two tributes selected from each of the other 11 districts. They fight until death and at the end, only one person is left in the bloodcurdling arena. Another thing to keep in mind about this "game", is that it is televised and publicized to people from all over the country.
I don't want to give too much away of the story, but that gives you a general idea of what it is about. I promise that if you haven't had the chance read it yet, you will not regret it.
I have already read it, so now it's your turn to experience the thrill of the book. I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did!

Hello!

Hi everyone! I am Katie Day and I am fourteen years old. I am new to this blogging world, so it may take me awhile to figure out all the interesting things you can do, but hopefully I will learn someday.
To tell you all a little bit about myself, I would say that I am really into athletics and sporty things… but no I am not into football all that much.
I do track, softball, swimming, and tennis for fun in the summer. I also enjoy biking on occasion. Sports are my life and without them, I get bored and I feel extremely lazy.
Another thing that I am apart of is the band. Yes, that may sound nerdy or dorky to you, but the marching band part of it is actually a lot of fun. I think it is much more enjoyable than concert band.
The last thing I will tell you about myself is that I love animals, especially dogs and elephants. I have one dog whose name is Luke and he is my best friend. I just like elephants because they are so big and I love their long trunks.
I hope this helped you all get to know me better and I will try my best to keep up with this blog!
